About the role#
The Maintenance Intern program at Worthington Steel provides professional development through hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. Interns support various maintenance functions and receive on-the-job training to assist with department operations.
What you'll do#
- Manage the Tool Crib implementation process.
- Enter and quote parts within the inventory management system.
- Store and organize incoming parts shipments.
- Perform administrative and clerical duties to support the Maintenance Planner.
- Maintain records and compile data for management use.
- Respond to inquiries to provide information and guidance.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or Operations Management.
- Excellent writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple technical tasks and electronic records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to juggle several assignments and work independently to achieve project completion.
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
