Maintenance Intern

About the role#

Worthington Steel is seeking a Maintenance Intern to join the team in Valley City, Ohio. This internship provides professional development through hands-on experience in maintenance support functions. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position.

What you'll do#

• Manage the Tool Crib implementation process.
• Enter and quote parts within the inventory management system.
• Store and organize incoming parts.
• Assist the Maintenance Planner with administrative and clerical duties to support department operations.
• Maintain records and compile information for management use.
• Respond to inquiries to provide information and direction.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Business Administration.
• Excellent writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple technical tasks and electronic records.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to work independently and juggle multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
