About the role#
Worthington Enterprises is seeking a Product Development Intern to join our team. This position provides hands-on engineering experience in both an office setting and on the manufacturing floor. You will contribute to active product development and manufacturing improvement projects while working alongside our Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations departments.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the development of new products and improvements to existing designs.
- Create, review, and update engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Support prototype development, testing, and evaluation.
- Work with production personnel to understand current methods and address manufacturing challenges.
- Gather and analyze data related to raw materials, labor, machine time, and other manufacturing costs.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input based on observations and collected data.
- Help identify opportunities to reduce product costs through process or tooling improvements.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least two years toward a college degree.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical information.
- Experience using SolidWorks for 3D modeling and engineering drawings is preferred.

- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship located in Closter, New Jersey.
- The position operates on a rolling basis.
