    About the role#

    Covestro offers engineering internships at our New Martinsville, West Virginia site. You will spend 12 weeks during the summer of 2027 working within our Thermoplastic Polyurethane or Performance Materials units. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position. You will gain experience in a manufacturing environment by working alongside managers and scientists to learn about our chemistry, product applications, and business operations.

    What you'll do#

    • Identify, initiate, and supervise process improvement projects to optimize production capacity.
    • Support the development and implementation of capital projects.
    • Implement Management of Change for process improvements.
    • Help implement system improvements to increase mechanical reliability.
    • Work with teams from research, applications development, technology, and engineering.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemistry.
    • Completion of your freshman year of college.
    • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
    • Ability to work on-site in New Martinsville, West Virginia.
