    About the role#

    World Vision is seeking an intern to join the United Nations Policy and Advocacy team in New York. This role supports human rights and humanitarian efforts by influencing policies related to child well-being, nutrition, and development financing. Interns gain experience in multilateral affairs while contributing to the organization's mission to support vulnerable children.

    What you'll do#

    • Monitor United Nations Security Council and General Assembly schedules to track meetings and votes affecting humanitarian efforts.
    • Stay informed about developments within your assigned portfolio and provide regular updates.
    • Draft briefings, position papers, and other materials for internal and external use.
    • Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings and events.
    • Maintain communication with peer NGOs and UN agencies.
    • Support participation in external meetings.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program, or graduation within the past two years.
    • Majors in Political Science, International Relations, Journalism, Communications, or related fields.
    • Ability to commit to at least 20 hours per week.
    • Strong research, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Proactive initiative and attention to detail.
    • Willingness to use your own electronic devices and allow the installation of endpoint security software.
    • Commitment to the World Vision mission and adherence to the Christian Statement of Faith.
    • Must be at least 18 years of age with legal authorization to work in the United States and a valid U.S. Social Security Number.

    • Location: New York, New York (On-site).
    • Term: Winter 2027 (January 25 to April 23, 2027).
    • Compensation: This is a paid internship.
