About the role#
This internship offers a three-month opportunity for graduate students or recent graduates to support international relief and development efforts. You will work remotely to support nutrition research, focusing on food-based approaches for malnutrition prevention. You will collaborate with the Principal Investigator and Senior Technical Advisor for Nutrition to gain practical experience in research, data analysis, and program support.
What you'll do#
- Identify information sources and develop search strategies for food-based approaches.
- Retrieve and systematically review materials from peer-reviewed journals and international organizations.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data using SPSS and MS Excel.
- Synthesize findings, assess source credibility, and document the review process.
- Communicate results in a detailed report with actionable recommendations.
- Clean quantitative data for the Positive Deviance/Hearth program.
- Analyze data to extract insights and identify trends.
- Liaise with the Nutrition team and participate in weekly meetings.
What you'll need#
- Master's degree or current enrollment in a graduate program (Public Health, Global Health, Nutritional Science, or related fields).
- Experience with systematic and desk reviews, including literature search and data extraction.
- Proficiency in quantitative data analysis using SPSS and MS Excel.
- Knowledge of global health and nutrition issues.
- Ability to organize complex ideas into clear written narratives.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Adherence to World Vision International’s Christian Statement of Faith.
- Willingness to use your own electronic devices and allow the installation of endpoint security software.
Location & details#
- This is a remote position based in the United States.
- You must be physically located in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, or Washington.
- The term runs from 25 January 2027 to 23 April 2027.
- This is a paid role that includes a monthly stipend of $800.
