    About the role#

    The Humanitarian Operations team at World Vision is seeking a MEAL & Child Protection in Emergencies Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This role supports a joint evidence and learning agenda by synthesizing research, program insights, and operational data from across the humanitarian sector. You will help identify patterns and gaps to improve emergency programming and outcomes for children affected by crises.

    What you'll do#

    • Review and synthesize research studies, evaluations, assessments, and program learning.
    • Organize evidence, datasets, and learning resources to improve access for humanitarian teams.
    • Identify key patterns and emerging issues by reviewing program and response data.
    • Examine evidence regarding child protection outcomes and the integration of protection across humanitarian programs.
    • Translate technical information into accessible outputs like briefing notes, presentations, dashboards, and data visualizations.
    • Support the development of learning products based on priority learning questions.

    What you'll need#

    • Current student or recent graduate (within 2 years) of an undergraduate or graduate program.
    • Strong ability to work with both qualitative and quantitative information.
    • Excellent writing skills and the ability to translate complex evidence into clear products.
    • Strong Excel skills.
    • Critical thinking, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
    • Demonstrated interest in evidence-to-action application and enthusiasm for humanitarian programming.
    • Commitment to the goals, mission, and vision of World Vision and adherence to the Christian Statement of Faith.
    • Must be at least 18 years of age, legally authorized to work in the United States, and possess a valid U.S. Social Security Number.
    • Ability to commit to at least 20 hours per week for the internship period.
    • Willingness to use your own electronic devices and allow the installation of endpoint security software.

    Location & details#

    • This is a remote role for candidates physically located in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, or Washington.
    • Internship dates: January 25, 2027 to April 23, 2027.
    • This position is paid via a monthly stipend of $800.
