About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to join the Global Centre Emergency Communications Team. You will support initiatives to improve the speed, effectiveness, and coordination of emergency communications through artificial intelligence, automation, and digital transformation. Your work helps emergency teams access information, collaborate, and track performance during humanitarian crises.
What you'll do#
- Analyze emergency communications workflows and identify opportunities to streamline processes using Microsoft 365 and AI.
- Design and support solutions that reduce manual effort and improve situational awareness.
- Create dashboards and reporting tools to track media coverage, website performance, and social media engagement.
- Improve information accessibility through better metadata, taxonomy, and knowledge-sharing practices.
- Support the design, testing, and implementation of Microsoft Copilot agents.
- Develop templates, documentation, and training materials to strengthen team capabilities.
- Research emerging AI and digital transformation practices.
- Evaluate innovative approaches and develop prototypes to improve communication responsiveness.
What you'll need#
- Current student or recent graduate from a graduate program (within the last 2 years).
- At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States with a valid Social Security Number.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Teams, and Power Automate.
- Data analysis skills and experience creating reports or performance insights.
- Understanding of information management, including metadata and document management.
- Interest in AI-enabled solutions and process improvement.
- Ability to commit to at least 20 hours per week.
- Willingness to use your own electronic devices and allow the installation of endpoint security software.
- Adherence to World Vision International’s Christian Statement of Faith.
Location & details#
- This is a remote role based in the United States.
- The internship term runs from January 25, 2027, to April 23, 2027.
- This position is paid with a monthly stipend of $800.
- Candidates may work between 20 and 40 hours per week.
