About the role#
Woolpert is looking for Transportation Engineering Interns to join our team for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position where you will gain experience working on infrastructure projects alongside licensed engineers. You will contribute to projects involving traffic, roadway and pedestrian facilities, bridges, and structures.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project analysis, design, plan production, and cost estimation.
- Use software applications such as Civil 3D and OpenRoads Designer.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external subconsultants, and clients.
- Perform tasks and solve problems with a high degree of independence.
- Gain real-world experience on active projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a student at an accredited college or university, preferably with at least sophomore status.
- Pursuit of a Civil Engineering or civil-adjacent degree.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to function well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Multitasking and time management skills.
- Willingness to learn.
- Must be located in Ohio near one of our offices or willing to relocate at your own expense.

- Locations: Cincinnati, Columbus, and Dayton, Ohio.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site (requires at least 2 days per week in the office).
