About the role#
Woolpert is hiring Transportation Engineering Interns for the Spring 2027 term, running from January through May. This is a full-time, paid position requiring 40 hours of work per week. You will work alongside infrastructure teams on projects involving traffic, roadways, pedestrian facilities, bridges, and structures. Please note that this role requires you to work on-site or in a hybrid capacity at least two days per week, and the company does not provide housing or relocation assistance.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project analysis, design, plan production, and cost estimation.
- Use software applications including Civil 3D and OpenRoads Designer.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external subconsultants, and clients.
- Solve problems and complete tasks with a high degree of independence.
- Gain experience working directly with licensed engineers on active projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a student at an accredited college or university, preferably with at least sophomore status.
- Pursuit of a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional multitasking and time management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Compensation: $23 to $27 per hour.
