About the role#
The Back of House Development, Design, and Procurement team is looking for a process and data analysis intern. You will work on a small team within the broader Construction and Design department. This role involves applying analytical skills to physical, real-world environments, helping shape purchasing decisions and redesigning workflows that are tested directly on job sites.
What you'll do#
- Perform data cleaning, structuring, and analysis using Python, Excel, and Google Sheets.
- Build and iterate on dashboards and process tools based on user feedback.
- Communicate progress and findings to internal stakeholders and team leadership.
- Meet with Operations or Construction Project Managers to gather data and feedback on current processes.
- Test and refine workflows directly with field and vendor teams.
- Manage multiple active tasks while working with minimal supervision.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, automation, and analysis.
- Strong skills in Excel and Google Sheets for building functional, scalable tools.
- Experience with data visualization and dashboard building.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to turn ambiguous, real-world problems into structured systems.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Willingness to spend time on active job sites in addition to desk-based work.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based in New York, NY.
- The role follows a hybrid work model, requiring 3 days per week in the office.
- This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
