About the role#
Wing is looking for a Data Scientist Intern to join our Business and Product Analytics team. You will work with cross-functional partners in Business Operations and Product to turn complex business questions into clear data problems. You will use advanced analytics, modeling, and statistical analysis to evaluate trade-offs and guide strategic choices. Your work will help stakeholders make confident, data-informed decisions.
What you'll do#
- Execute deep-dive research on complex datasets to uncover patterns and synthesize business insights.
- Support the development of predictive models to forecast trends, measure operational trade-offs, and project business impact.
- Conduct statistical analysis and assist in the setup of experimental frameworks like A/B testing and causal inference to evaluate performance.
- Translate complex statistical outputs into clear summaries and communicate findings to project team members.
- Analyze key performance indicators to identify trends and communicate insights to stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
- Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Familiarity with R or other data analysis libraries.
- Foundational knowledge of statistical methods including experimental design, hypothesis testing, regression modeling, and causal inference.
- Familiarity with quantitative modeling, forecasting techniques, and data analytics.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical findings to business partners.
- High degree of curiosity and a desire to tackle quantitative projects from raw data to structured insights.
