About the role#
Pangram Labs is looking for AI Research Interns to join our team in New York City. You will work on frontier AI detection research with the goal of publishing a paper in a major conference venue. You will be assigned a mentor and will choose or propose a research topic before your start date. We offer positions for Winter or Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research on topics such as adversarial robustness, interpretability, and multimodal detection.
- Investigate the effects of AI-generated data on model training.
- Explore agentic AI detection and new architectures for detection efficiency.
- Propose and execute an original research project relevant to AI detection.
- Work toward the publication of your findings in a top-tier conference.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an M.S. or Ph.D. program in Computer Science or Artificial Intelligence, or status as an exceptional undergraduate entering your senior year.
- Prior research experience that led to a publication in a top AI venue.
- Strong grasp of deep learning fundamentals and hands-on experience training neural networks.
- Proficiency in Python and a deep learning framework like PyTorch.
- Practical experience using AI agents for research, such as Claude Code or Codex.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site role based in New York City.
- Compensation is $8,000 to $11,000 per month.
- We provide a relocation stipend and daily in-office lunch.
- Top-performing interns may be considered for full-time roles.
