About the role#
Wharton-Smith, Inc. is hiring a Project Engineer Intern for our Water division. This is a full-time, paid internship based in our Sanford, Florida office. We offer rolling start dates for students pursuing degrees in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or Architecture.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Project Engineer and Project Manager with the planning, organization, and completion of assigned projects.
- Review project plans and confer with management.
- Review bids submitted by contractors.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing site rules and regulations.
- Perform daily data entry and assist the project team with routine tasks.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program related to Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or Architecture.
- Ability to work on-site at our Sanford location.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
