About the role#
Wharton-Smith, Inc. is hiring a Project Engineer Intern for our Water/Wastewater division. This position is based in our Jacksonville, Florida office. You will support the Project Engineer and Project Manager with the planning, organization, and completion of construction projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the planning and organization of projects.
- Review project plans and confer with management.
- Evaluate bids submitted by contractors.
- Record project data and updates.
- Perform data entry and assist with daily administrative tasks.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contribute to team efforts to ensure project goals are met.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program for Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Ability to work on-site in Jacksonville.
- Capacity to assist with daily project management duties.
