About the role#
Wharton-Smith, Inc. is hiring a Project Engineer Intern to work out of our Fort Myers, Florida office. This is a full-time, paid position with a rolling term. You will work on-site to support our project teams with daily operations, planning, and organization.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Project Manager and Project Engineer with daily tasks and project completion.
- Review project plans and discuss details with management.
- Evaluate bids submitted by contractors.
- Help maintain a safe and clean working environment by following company procedures and rules.
- Perform data entry and contribute to general team goals.
What you'll need#
- A willingness to work in a corporate office setting.
- Ability to assist with project planning and organization.
- Experience reviewing project plans.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards.
- Proficiency in data entry.
- Enrollment in a degree program such as Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science, Architecture, Urban Planning, or Logistics.
