About the role#
The Digital Content, Video Intern will learn to create, edit, and distribute content for broadcast and digital platforms. You will gain experience in video and audio production, professional editing, and writing for various screen sizes. This role involves collaborating across departments including radio, television, and community engagement to support our programming.
What you'll do#
- Plan, record, shoot, and edit content to increase audience reach.
- Edit diverse formats such as digital short-form video, podcasts, vertical videos, teasers, promos, and sizzle reels.
- Develop concepts that highlight our mission and local and national programming.
- Use existing video and audio assets to execute projects from pre-production to completion.
- Maintain and organize our digital archive of audio and video files.
- Contribute to our commitment to representing community diversity and telling inclusive stories.
- Spend time in other departments to learn how the organization functions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or senior in an accredited college or university, or graduation within the last six months.
- A major in video production, digital media, audio production, communications, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging video or audio content.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Premiere or Audition.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and solve problems.
- A willingness to help with various tasks as needed.
- Experience with Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop, along with a professional portfolio or demo reel, are highly desirable.
