About the role#
As a Safety/Industrial Hygiene intern, you will work with EHS leaders on project-based assignments. You will report to the Program Manager of Global Industrial Hygiene. Your work supports a safe and healthful environment by mitigating safety impacts through tactical and strategic contributions.
What you'll do#
- Assist in developing and implementing safety and industrial hygiene standards.
- Participate in EHS team meetings and present on project progress.
- Conduct hazard assessments and recommend mitigations.
- Inspect workplace environments and equipment for regulatory compliance.
- Take part in exposure investigations to identify causes and corrective actions.
- Join inspection and audit teams.
- Create safety briefs and training materials to improve EHS knowledge.
- Analyze data to develop reports and suggest corrective actions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for environmental, health and safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field.
- Completed coursework in occupational safety, environmental, or industrial hygiene.
- Some experience with safety regulatory requirements.
- Reliable transportation for commuting to work locations within 50 miles.
- Willingness to travel to other Westinghouse locations, including potential international travel.

- Status: Full-time, paid.
