About the role#
As a Layout Engineering intern, you will report to the Layout and Design Integration Engineering Manager. This is a full-time, paid internship based at our Cranberry Township facility. You will work in a hybrid capacity during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Use 3D design software to arrange nuclear island structures, equipment, piping, and supports.
- Run hazard evaluations using 3D plant models and analysis software.
- Interpret engineering drawings and criteria documents.
- Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to gather necessary project information.
- Manage your own planning and scheduling to meet project requirements.
- Solve technical engineering problems as they arise.
- Present your designs and analysis results during team design reviews.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor degree in mechanical, architectural, or another engineering field.
- You have completed your sophomore year of college.

- Location: Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May through August).
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Compensation: $25.40 to $29.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
