About the role#
As a Field Services Student Technician on the Steam Generator team, you will support the Inspection Service Business. You will work on assignments related to manual and robotic inspections and component cleaning services. This role involves working closely with experienced technicians and engineers to support teams deployed to outages.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tools with high attention to detail to support field teams.
- Disassemble, clean, decontaminate, inspect, install, repair, and assemble mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment.
- Complete site-specific training, including radiation safety, hazard communication, and rigging.
- Practice Human Performance Tools, INPO Principles, Industrial Health and Safety, and ALARA principles.
- Follow specific security requirements and observe Westinghouse and customer license requirements.
- Take initiative on assigned tasks with minimal oversight.
What you'll need#
- Must be a student and at least 18 years old.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift 50lbs or more.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
