About the role#
Western National Insurance is hiring a Loss Control Intern for the Summer 2027 program. You will work with the Loss Control team to support daily operations and various projects. This role offers hands-on experience in the risk management field through project work, professional development, and community initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Assist the team with projects related to risk information, exposures, and controls.
- Meet with department leaders to gain a broad view of the insurance industry.
- Participate in safety and Loss Control training courses.
- Receive on-the-job training from professionals, including preparing for and attending onsite customer visits.
- Conduct research and develop internal resources for the Loss Control Consulting Center.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in insurance or occupational health and safety.
- Ability to multitask and solve problems.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Organizational and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Edina, Minnesota.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States. We do not provide visa sponsorship.
