About the role#
As a Personal Lines Underwriting Intern, you will join our team to gain practical experience in the insurance industry. You will work directly with our Personal Lines Underwriting team on projects and tasks that support the daily operations of our property and casualty business.
What you'll do#
- Assist the team with projects related to writing Personal Insurance policies.
- Help maintain accurate rating and coverage information on policies.
- Partner with underwriting and other departments to modify renewal business.
- Assess replacement cost values for property business.
- Review property inspections and recommend appropriate actions.
- Update policy information as new details emerge.
- Communicate with the agency force regarding changes or requests for information.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least two years of college is preferred.
- Intermediate experience with Word and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.

- This position is located on-site in Anchorage, AK.
- This is a paid internship at $20.00/hour.
- Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. Sponsorship is not provided.
