About the role#
This paid internship offers an 11-week immersion into Werner Enterprises during the summer of 2027. You will gain real-world experience by applying classroom knowledge to digital marketing projects. The program includes dedicated job training, a mentor program, and networking events.
What you'll do#
- Build and execute email marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Manage audience segmentation and journey builder workflows to deliver personalized messages.
- Track and report on key performance metrics like open rates and conversion rates.
- Run A/B tests on email copy, design layouts, and buttons to improve results.
- Partner with sales and operations teams to align lead scoring and customer data.
- Support company events through promotion, registration management, and on-site execution.
- Capture and edit multi-media content for social media and internal communications.
- Conduct industry research to help shape content strategy and marketing initiatives.
- Turn campaign data into insights to improve return on investment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- A strong interest in marketing, branding, and communications.
- Ability to work in a changing environment.
- Interest in the transportation industry is a bonus.

- This is a full-time role based at our corporate headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska.
- The position offers a mix of on-site and remote work opportunities.
