About the role#
The Commercial Banking Early Career Development Program is a two-year initiative designed to provide broad exposure to various lines of business. You will participate in four six-month rotations to gain diverse experience and insight into the commercial banking sector. The program includes on-the-job experience, formal in-person and virtual training, and a foundational introduction to credit and banking principles.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the sourcing, structuring, underwriting, and execution of low complexity multi-million-dollar credit transactions as an active member of the deal team.
- Conduct due diligence, analyze financial statements, build financial models, and determine risk ratings to prepare comprehensive memos that support credit recommendations.
- Receive direction from supervisors while exercising independent judgment and accountability on tasks, including compliance and risk management responsibilities.
- Collaborate and consult with colleagues and managers to complete deliverables, resolve issues, and help deliver business initiatives.
- Rotate across several Commercial Banking business areas to acquire diverse experiences and insights.
What you'll need#
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Initiative and a proactive approach as an energetic self-starter.
- Curiosity and a genuine interest in learning and growth.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Pursuit of a bachelor's degree with an expected graduation between December 2026 and June 2027.
