About the role#
As a Trading Summer Analyst, you will join our team for a 10-week program in Greenwich. You will work directly with traders, portfolio managers, researchers, and technologists to support our investment process. This role involves hands-on work on projects that contribute to our daily operations. You will also participate in the AQR Quanta Academy, a structured learning series with over 40 hours of educational and networking events.
What you'll do#
- Analyze trading costs, market structure, and liquidity across various asset classes.
- Study the impact of macroeconomic events, earnings, policy decisions, and geopolitical developments on markets.
- Build analytical tools and conduct research to improve execution and trading decisions.
- Work with large datasets to identify patterns, test hypotheses, and generate insights.
- Collaborate with team members across the investment process.
What you'll need#
- Graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Strong interest in financial markets, market structure, trading, and liquidity.
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with a team.
- Motivation to solve problems using data and evidence-based approaches.
- Academic background in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Business Administration, or International Relations.
