About the role#
The Portfolio Implementation Summer Analyst program is a 10-week opportunity to work with the team responsible for constructing, optimizing, and managing systematic investment portfolios. You will work alongside senior investment professionals to gain experience in quantitative investing and AQR's investment philosophy. The program includes the Quanta Academy Summer Term, a structured curriculum featuring over 40 hours of educational and networking events.
What you'll do#
- Optimize portfolios by incorporating model views and investment guidelines.
- Research and improve techniques for portfolio construction.
- Manipulate and analyze large datasets to identify patterns in portfolio performance.
- Implement and refine systematic signals.
- Collaborate with investment professionals across the firm.
What you'll need#
- You are a student graduating in December 2027 or Spring 2028 with a degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong technical skills with experience in Python, MATLAB, R, and SQL.
- Quantitative skills including calculus, linear algebra, and statistics.
- Ability to solve complex problems and communicate effectively.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Greenwich, Connecticut.
- The term is for Summer 2027.
