About the role#
Wealthsimple is hiring interns for Winter 2027 across our Software Development and Data Science teams. You will join a team to contribute to projects that change how Canadians manage their money. These are 4-8 month paid, full-time positions. You will work in a hybrid environment, with in-office days on Wednesdays and Thursdays at our Toronto headquarters.
What you'll do#
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and business leaders to design experiments and build models.
- Build intuitive and impactful features across Investing, Banking, Lending, and Marketing.
- Design and maintain fast, reliable, secure, and scalable systems.
- Collaborate on software development or data science tasks using production datasets.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Canadian post-secondary institution, technical bootcamp, or status as a recent graduate.
- Completion of at least 2 paid software development or data science work terms.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
- Proficiency in relevant technical stacks, such as Python, React, Typescript, or SQL.

- Compensation: CAD $74,000 - $90,000 base salary, depending on year of study and past experience.
