    About the role#

    Voyager Technologies is seeking a Government Relations Intern to join our team in Washington, D.C. This is a 10-week paid internship program running from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027. You will support our government relations team by researching public policy, tracking legislative developments, and analyzing the regulatory environment. This role provides exposure to how our company engages with government stakeholders and monitors issues that impact the defense and space manufacturing industry.

    What you'll do#

    • Conduct research on legislative, regulatory, and policy developments.
    • Monitor activities within Congress, the executive branch, and federal agencies.
    • Summarize hearings, briefings, and policy events for internal stakeholders.
    • Assist in the creation of policy briefs, issue summaries, and presentation materials.
    • Research and organize information regarding policymakers and industry organizations.
    • Collaborate with internal teams on cross-functional government relations initiatives.
    • Maintain records of government affairs and stakeholder information.
    • Contribute to the preparation of talking points and background research for meetings.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate program at an accredited university.
    • Preferred majors include Political Science, Public Policy, Government, International Relations, Business, Economics, or Communications.
    • Demonstrated interest in government relations, legislative affairs, or public policy.
    • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
    • Previous experience through internships, coursework, or academic projects in government or business is preferred.
    • Familiarity with the federal legislative process or regulatory research.
    • Ability to travel for in-person orientation and the final program presentation.

    Location & details#

    • This is a full-time, on-site position located in Washington, D.C.
    • The pay range is $23.50 to $30.00 per hour, based on academic year, major, and line of business.
    • This role requires compliance with U.S. export regulations, including ITAR requirements.
