About the role#
Voyager Technologies is hiring an Electrical Engineer Intern for a 10-week program running from June 7, 2026, to August 13, 2026. This is a full-time, on-site role where you will support our engineering teams with design, testing, and documentation. You will work alongside experienced engineers on projects that contribute to our defense and space technology mission.
What you'll do#
- Assist with electrical design, development, and analysis tasks.
- Create and maintain electrical schematics, models, and engineering documentation.
- Manage engineering parts, components, and technical databases.
- Support mid-level and senior engineers with daily project deliverables.
- Conduct component research and selection.
- Participate in electrical testing, troubleshooting, and data analysis.
- Collaborate with mechanical, systems, software, and manufacturing teams.
- Contribute to process improvements and attend engineering reviews or training sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program for Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- A solid grasp of fundamental electrical engineering principles.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Familiarity with design, simulation, or documentation tools.
- Willingness to travel for program orientation and the final project presentation.
- Previous experience through coursework, labs, or internships is preferred.
- Experience with tools like Altium, MATLAB, or LTspice and hands-on work with circuit design, PCB layout, or test equipment is a plus.
- To meet export regulations, you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
Location & details#
- Locations: San Diego, CA; Houston, TX; Long Beach, CA; or Pittsburgh, PA.
- Compensation: $27.00 to $37.00 per hour, based on academic year, major, and location.
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
