About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in maintenance engineering at our Macungie facility. You will work directly with production equipment, focusing on reliability and the application of lean manufacturing principles. This is a paid position for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Review equipment preventative maintenance checks and identify improvements for reliability.
- Maintain the equipment library and documentation.
- Analyze spare parts, determine stocking requirements, and validate parts using our Computerized Maintenance Management System.
- Create spare parts ledgers for production equipment.
- Develop a formal project and present your findings or ideas using PowerPoint.
- Create autonomous maintenance calendars and One-Point Lessons.
- Learn and apply lean manufacturing principles within the maintenance organization.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Engineering Management, or Engineering Technology degree program.
- Completed at least 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
- Intermediate Excel skills for data analysis and graphing.
- Experience with MS Word and AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
