About the role#
Volvo Financial Services is seeking a second or third year law student for a legal internship during the Fall 2026 term. This role provides an opportunity to apply academic knowledge in a professional setting while working on commercial finance matters within the transportation industry. Interns will work alongside internal counsel on projects, gaining insight into corporate law and the operations of a global organization.
What you'll do#
- Conduct legal research and writing to support commercial finance matters.
- Assist with various legal tasks and interact directly with members of the Legal Department and internal business clients.
- Update a state GAP law survey.
- Assist with negotiated commercial transactions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABA accredited law school.
- Completion of at least 30 cumulative credit hours with a minimum GPA of 2.75.
- Demonstrated strong legal writing skills.
- Familiarity with Articles 2A and 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code.
- Proven ability to prioritize work effectively and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Full professional proficiency in English.
