About the role#
The Project Management Intern will help oversee and coordinate MARS projects. You will support the management of cost, schedule, and performance while ensuring all work meets mission requirements. This role involves working alongside engineers, technical staff, and project stakeholders to deliver projects safely and efficiently.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate permits and approvals for assigned projects.
- Implement plans, specifications, safety policies, and environmental procedures.
- Generate project activity schedules and track progress against them.
- Develop and track project cost budgets.
- Conduct frequent field inspections to assess design and operational conformance.
- Write formal reports detailing inspection findings.
- Ensure compliance with applicable licenses, regulations, and directives.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited educational institution on at least a half-time basis.
- Pursuit of a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or a technical field (rising seniors preferred).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and MS Project.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet strict deadlines.
- Professionalism when handling sensitive or confidential issues.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
- Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility for a NASA credential.
- SharePoint experience is preferred.
