About the role#
This summer internship focuses on sustaining MCAD tools and practices. You will work on global libraries, templates, and formats while providing functional support to users. The role involves improving MCAD usage through proofs of concept and helping to lead CAD and PDM upgrades from an engineering perspective.
What you'll do#
- Improve MCAD usage by developing best design practices, standards, and proofs of concept for tool functionalities.
- Implement and monitor governance for MCAD design and PDM system usage across global teams.
- Develop and maintain MCAD libraries, including part libraries, feature libraries, and templates.
- Provide functional MCAD application support, including the resolution of user queries and tool issues.
- Lead CAD and PDM upgrades from an engineering requirements and usability perspective.
- Define and maintain standard operating procedures and job aids.
- Act as the engineering point of contact for MCAD solution providers to track and resolve tool issues.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of multiple CAD tools such as Creo, Solid Edge, SolidWorks, and Inventor.
- Familiarity with Creo configuration, including config.pro and related settings.
- Ability to evaluate and implement MCAD best practices across various tools.
- Familiarity with Creo MBD and the ability to support MCAD standardization efforts.
- Strong logical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to perform root-cause analysis and work with global, cross-functional teams.
