About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the Product Integrity organization at our Delaware, Ohio facility. You will work in a high-power engineering lab environment, supporting validation activities such as test planning, execution, and data collection. This is a learning role where you will assist engineers and technicians with lab operations, documentation, and an assigned summer project.
What you'll do#
- Prepare units under test, cables, sensors, and labels for test setups.
- Assist with instrumentation setup using tools like oscilloscopes, power meters, and temperature loggers.
- Execute documented test cases by observing steps, collecting measurements, and organizing files.
- Document test results and engineering observations.
- Help troubleshoot test setups and units under test by performing data reviews and wiring checks.
- Support continuous improvement projects related to lab documentation, data organization, or test fixtures.
- Participate in 5S and safety practices, including completing all required lab access training.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Interest in electrical equipment testing, power systems, product validation, instrumentation, and data analysis.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, curiosity, and a commitment to safe work practices.
