    About the role#

    As a Mechanical Engineer Intern, you will join our Conventional Power Systems team. You will support advanced power generation projects by designing mechanical equipment and systems. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2026.

    What you'll do#

    • Develop, evaluate, and design specifications and contract drawings.
    • Perform engineering analyses and support report production.
    • Prepare basic calculations and assist in equipment selection.
    • Coordinate with other disciplines and schedule project deliverables.
    • Collect, organize, and evaluate data using computer modeling.
    • Organize and file project materials and references.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an ABET accredited university in a Mechanical or Chemical Engineering program.
    • A 3.0 GPA is preferred.
    • Coursework in fluids and thermodynamics is preferred.
    • Strong communication, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to complete all pre-employment onboarding requirements.

    Location & details#

    • Locations: Ann Arbor, Michigan or Raleigh, North Carolina.
    • Work modality: This position is on-site on a full-time basis.
    • Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
