About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineer Intern, you will join our Conventional Power Systems team. You will support advanced power generation projects by designing mechanical equipment and systems. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2026.
What you'll do#
- Develop, evaluate, and design specifications and contract drawings.
- Perform engineering analyses and support report production.
- Prepare basic calculations and assist in equipment selection.
- Coordinate with other disciplines and schedule project deliverables.
- Collect, organize, and evaluate data using computer modeling.
- Organize and file project materials and references.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET accredited university in a Mechanical or Chemical Engineering program.
- A 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- Coursework in fluids and thermodynamics is preferred.
- Strong communication, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to complete all pre-employment onboarding requirements.

- Locations: Ann Arbor, Michigan or Raleigh, North Carolina.
- Work modality: This position is on-site on a full-time basis.
