About the role#
Venture Solar is looking for an intern to join our Permitting Department in Stamford, Connecticut. This role focuses on the administrative and coordination side of the construction process. You will help projects move forward by acting as a point of contact between our team and municipal building departments. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Communicate with municipal building departments by phone and email to get permit updates.
- Monitor permit applications through various online municipal portals.
- Track permit statuses and keep accurate records.
- Coordinate with internal team members to share project updates.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to permitting and project coordination.
- Follow up on outstanding applications and requests.
What you'll need#
- Comfort speaking on the phone, including making frequent outbound calls.
- Ability to learn new software systems and online portals quickly.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence in communicating information clearly and professionally.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
