About the role#
Vanderweil Engineers is hiring an Engineering Intern for our Boston headquarters in the Seaport District. This is a full-time, paid position open to students in their Junior or Senior year of college. We are looking for Mechanical or Electrical Engineering majors to support our work on commercial, government, healthcare, and scientific buildings.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the design and layout of ductwork and mechanical equipment like motors, fans, and pumps.
- Collaborate with engineers on various building projects.
- Use Revit for 3D design work and Navisworks to perform interference checks.
- Complete mathematical calculations and research equipment specifications.
- Manage project files, documents, and engineering materials.
- Perform data entry and basic calculations in spreadsheets.
- Visit client sites to attend meetings, punch lists, or project walk-throughs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in a university engineering program.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Capability to organize project information and manage documents effectively.
- Comfort working with spreadsheets for data entry and calculations.
- Familiarity with LEED and sustainable practices is helpful.
- Experience with Revit or AutoCAD is a plus.
