Creative Production Intern

About the role#

The Creative Production Intern will join the creative services team to support the Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth. This role focuses on pre-production, shooting, and editing content for the sports franchises, including Jazz Youth, Mammoth Youth, and Jazz Bantam. You will gain experience in the full production lifecycle, from concept to completion, while working 20-30 hours per week.

What you'll do#

• Shoot and assist with photos and videos for player and team hype content, interviews, and short-form media.
• Capture and edit run-and-gun style event recaps.
• Support other shooters on various projects and serve as a production assistant on set.
• Prepare pre-production materials such as mood boards and shot lists.
• Collaborate with the team to contribute ideas to the creative voice of the organization.
• Perform basic video and photo editing, including color correction and audio adjustments.
• Operate Sony equipment and maintain an understanding of technical specifications like frame rates and codecs.

What you'll need#

• A 4-year degree is preferred, with a background in Media Studies, Graphic Design, Communications, Journalism, or Kinesiology.
• Zero to one year of professional experience in a production environment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro and Audition.
• Ability to operate independently on run-and-gun shoots and take direction on set.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that includes weekends.
• An interest in the NBA and NHL is preferred.
• Photography skills are a plus.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing or walking for long periods.
