Community Relations Intern

About the role#

The Community Relations Intern will assist with the daily operations of the Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth. This role supports the department in managing internal and external programs focused on youth, education, and health and wellness. This is a part-time, seasonal position reporting to the Director of Community Relations.

What you'll do#

• Manage responses to fan mail and general public inquiries.
• Fulfill and track all donation requests through the online system.
• Coordinate the distribution of community ticket donations.
• Assist in the planning and execution of community events.
• Contribute to the ideation of new community programs and initiatives.

What you'll need#

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Pursuing a degree in sport management, non-profit management, public relations, communications, or a related field.
• Interest or experience in community relations, non-profit work, or event coordination.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and climbing stairs for extended periods.
