About the role#
USG is hiring a Project Engineer Co-op for our plant in Oakville. This is a full-time, paid position with a rolling term. You will work on-site to support our maintenance and capital improvement efforts.
What you'll do#
- Consult with department managers to identify operational problems and improve methods or equipment.
- Develop and implement non-routine maintenance and capital improvement plans.
- Prepare and manage assigned capital projects from start to finish.
- Monitor and execute the plant safety program.
- Design mechanical innovations using your technical training.
- Assist in the maintenance of plant equipment and facilities to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently working toward a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Experience managing budgets and controlling costs.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects at once.
- Knowledge of safety compliance programs with a focus on quality and housekeeping.

- Compensation: $3,730 to $4,870 per month, based on your current year of study.
