About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Fall 2027 term, running from June through December. The role is based on-site in Rainier, Oregon.
What you'll do#
- Consult with department managers to identify problems and improve methods and equipment.
- Develop and implement non-routine maintenance and capital improvement plans.
- Monitor and execute the plant safety program.
- Prepare and follow assigned capital projects to completion.
- Use technical training to advise and design mechanical innovations.
- Assist in the maintenance of plant equipment and facilities to ensure consistent operation.
- Coordinate special projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently working toward a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Strong leadership, communication, decision making, and employee relations skills.
- Demonstrated ability to operate within a budget and manage costs.
- High level of organization and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Knowledge of safety compliance programs.
- A strong focus on safety, quality, and housekeeping.
