About the role#
Urban Science is hiring a Data Driven Analysis Intern for the Fall 2026 semester. This position focuses on using data and logic to solve business problems for automotive clients. You will build technical skills and business acumen while gaining experience with analytical applications. This is a paid, part-time role offering 20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Plan, organize, develop, and deliver client-requested reports and projects.
- Work with extensive databases using proprietary software.
- Track, process, analyze, and verify data using tools like Microsoft Excel and Access.
- Improve existing and new processes to communicate data from sources such as dealership sales, vehicle registrations, and demographics.
- Adhere to quality control standards for both the company and the client.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Baccalaureate or Master’s program in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Business Administration, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Fundamental understanding of database concepts and computer programming.
- Solid college-level math skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including charting, graphing, formulas, and data formatting.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Location & details#
- Location: Long Beach, California.
- Work Modality: Hybrid. You must be available to work in-person approximately two days per week, specifically Mondays and Tuesdays.
- Term: Fall 2026 (August through December).
- Compensation: $21.00 per hour.
