About the role#
Urban Science is seeking a Human Resources Intern to gain hands-on experience across various HR functions. You will work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative environment, contributing to projects that support our people strategy. This role is designed to bridge the gap between your academic coursework and real-world workplace operations.
What you'll do#
- Gain practical experience in recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, and HR operations.
- Support ongoing HR initiatives and change management efforts.
- Maintain organized HR documentation and provide administrative support to the team.
- Manage office operations, including employee access badges, parking access, and office supplies.
- Assist in creating a positive and welcoming office environment.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Analytics, or a related field.
- Ability to commit to 20 hours per week during the academic year, with the option to work up to 40 hours per week during summer and winter breaks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional interaction with employees and partners.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

- Location: Long Beach, California.
- Modality: Hybrid, with a requirement to be in-office 2 to 3 days per week.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Status: Paid, non-exempt, part-time position.
