About the role#
The Corporate Finance Intern joins the Finance Leadership Experience (FLEX) program at Upbound Group. This internship offers exposure to Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Development, Investor Relations, and Treasury. You will work on projects that influence business strategy and capital allocation while building analytical and leadership skills.
What you'll do#
- Assist with financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Analyze business performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support strategic initiatives through financial modeling and business case development.
- Prepare presentations and insights for finance and business leaders.
- Deliver a final project presentation to senior leaders.
- Participate in special projects to improve processes and operational efficiency.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Treasury, and Operations.
- Conduct market and competitive analysis.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics with a graduation date between May 2027 and December 2027.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated leadership through academic achievement, campus involvement, or other activities.
- Preferred: Prior internship experience in finance, consulting, or banking, and coursework in corporate finance, valuation, or capital markets.
