About the role#
This is a paid, full-time summer internship for students interested in actuarial science. You will gain exposure to the insurance industry while working on projects that support our actuarial staff. The program runs for 10 to 12 weeks, starting in late May or early June 2027 and ending in early August. Successful interns may be considered for our Actuarial Development Program.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical support to the actuarial team.
- Contribute to projects in areas such as pricing, valuation, modeling, experience analysis, and business analytics.
- Attend weekly information sessions and networking events with senior leaders.
- Complete an end-of-summer presentation for key business leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college degree program or graduation in Spring 2027.
- Extensive coursework in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, economics, or finance.
- A minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Passing at least one actuarial exam is preferred.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week during regular business hours.

- This role is based in Chattanooga, Tennessee; Portland, Maine; or Columbia, South Carolina.
- The position follows a hybrid work model.
- We do not provide housing, but we offer a lump-sum bonus to assist with summer costs.
