The High Tech Bound Broadband Internship is a paid four to six-week summer program at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL). This program is designed for students entering their senior year of high school to gain experience in software development within a real-world environment. Interns will work in a computer lab with mentors to complete assigned projects using technologies found in smart cars and internet devices. Participants have the opportunity to earn 0.5 high school credit through the Virtual Learning Academy Charter School (VLACS).
What you'll do#
- Complete an assigned project through a hands-on, collaborative team experience.
- Develop technical skills by working with hardware and software technologies.
- Research solutions and contribute to projects that have long-term applications.
- Engage in problem-solving with new technologies to prepare for future education in the tech field.
What you'll need#
- Must be entering your senior year of high school.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week during the summer program.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

- Location: Durham, New Hampshire.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Compensation: $11.50 per hour.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Status: Full-time.
