About the role#
The UVA School of Architecture Development Team is hiring a student worker to support fundraising and engagement efforts. This role involves direct interaction with donors and alumni, data management, and project coordination. We are looking for students who can work independently on research and administrative projects while participating in weekly team meetings.
What you'll do#
- Thank donors through phone calls, emails, letters, and short videos.
- Staff events, draft briefing books and bios, and coordinate logistics.
- Create presentations and analyze data sets.
- Draft emails and invitations while acting as a liaison with student groups.
- Manage the A-School Alumni Mentorship Program, including assisting with newsletters and matching pods.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate, graduate, or PhD student.
- Comfort with donor and alumni outreach.
- Ability to work independently on research and assigned projects.
- Majors in Architecture, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or Public Health are relevant to this work.
Location & details#
- Location: Charlottesville, Virginia.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Fall 2026 and Winter 2027.
- Commitment: 10 to 15 hours per week.
- Compensation: Paid position with preference for Federal Work Study eligible applicants.
