About the role#
Procurement and Payment Services is hiring a Federal Work Study student to support warehouse operations. This position provides an opportunity to gain professional experience while assisting with the daily logistics of the department.
What you'll do#
- Unload and check in packages from delivery trucks.
- Assemble and load packages for campus delivery.
- Operate USF golf carts to deliver packages to various departments.
- Pick up retired IT equipment from campus locations.
- Maintain and clean the warehouse facility.
- Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned.
- Follow all university policies and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a USF student.
- A valid Federal Work Study (FWS) award for the 2026-2027 academic year.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to complete USF golf cart operation training.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to lift between 25 and 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability, dependability, and an attention to detail.
Location & details#
- Location: Tampa, Florida.
- Schedule: 10 to 20 hours per week, with flexibility between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Pay: $15 per hour.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Note: This position is subject to a Level 1 criminal background check. Applicants must provide a cover letter, resume, FWS award documentation, and a class schedule.
