About the role#
The Facility Operations Assistant supports the daily operations and maintenance of Campus Recreation facilities. This position helps keep facilities and equipment safe, functional, and ready for use. You will work as a student employee to assist with grounds upkeep, building maintenance, and event support.
What you'll do#
- Stripe fields and maintain Campus Recreation buildings.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on fitness equipment.
- Assist with vehicle management and inventory tasks.
- Help with the setup, breakdown, and troubleshooting of meeting and event equipment.
- Maintain the interior and exterior appearance of facilities.
- Assist with security duties like securing doors and managing badge access.
- Keep records of maintenance and inventory.
- Partner with facilities staff to coordinate equipment repairs.
- Follow safety procedures and university policies.
What you'll need#
- Ability to follow university policies and procedures.
- Commitment to regular and punctual attendance.
Location & details#
- Location: McLane Student Life Center, Waco, Texas.
- Schedule: 10 to 20 hours per week, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
- Pay: $10 per hour.
- Term: Rolling employment through the end of Spring 2027.
