About the role#
The University of South Florida is hiring a Student Assistant to support the Office of Admissions, the Office of the Registrar, and the Office of Financial Aid. This is a paid, on-site position that requires enrollment as a student at the university.
What you'll do#
- Staff the Customer Care Team front desk or call center to provide customer service.
- Assist Domestic recruitment teams by interacting with recruiters, advisors, and prospective students.
- Explain the application process and enrollment steps to students and parents.
- Make outgoing calls to prospective, applied, and admitted students.
- Support the Data Management team by scanning, imaging, and verifying application documents.
- Help the Mail Center team prepare information packets, fold letters, stuff envelopes, and manage outgoing materials.
- Complete other duties and projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in and current attendance of classes at the University of South Florida.
- Proficiency in general office skills.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
- Majors in Business Administration or Communications are preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Tampa, Florida.
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with potential for additional daytime hours.
- This position may be subject to a Level 1 or Level 2 criminal background check.
